Privacy
Privacy, cookies, and data protection.
This notice is for globaluniversityvillage.com. It says what the desk stores, which cookies this site sets, and how you can control your data.
Who holds the file
Global University Village, head office at Supertech Astralis Business Center, 16th Floor, Sector 94, Noida, and the UK office of Capstone Management Services Ltd, 17 Westmoreland Road, Queensbury, London NW9 9BW. Enquiries sent from this website are read by desk staff. They are not sent to a public inbox.
What we ask for
Name, email, phone, the country and course you mention, assessment answers if you choose to give them, and any documents you upload later from your desk. The voice button sends the words of your question so the desk can answer. It does not store a recording. We do not buy contact lists.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not follow you around other websites to sell ads. A login sets a session cookie so the counselling desk knows it is you. That cookie is required for the account. Closing the session, or signing out, ends it. If you never sign in, that cookie is not set.
Google Analytics
This website asks before it uses Google Analytics, measurement ID G-M8L1B473T7. Analytics stays off until you press Accept analytics. Reject analytics is the same size and takes one click. The script is not loaded if you reject. Your choice, and the date you made it, stays in this browser. Cookie settings in the footer opens the same choice again, so you can withdraw as easily as you gave it. After you accept, Analytics records the page opened, the time, the rough location of the connection, the device and browser type, and how you moved from one page to the next. Google sets cookies named _ga and _ga_M8L1B473T7 for that count. The visit is not tied to the name, email, or phone on an enquiry form, and it is not used to show ads.
Google Ireland or Google LLC processes that visit data for Global University Village. You can stop it by blocking cookies for this site in your browser, or by using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking it does not stop you using the counselling pages.
Data stored on this device
A few choices stay in this browser, not in a cookie: your Accept or Reject on the cookie banner, your consent to the desk chat, a shortlist, visa and admission ticks, and an assessment note if you started one. They stay on this phone or computer until you clear the site data in the browser. They are not sold and they are not used to build an advertising profile.
Why
To reply to the enquiry, prepare a university short list, keep the counselling file, and run the account you opened. We do not sell the details or use them for anyone else’s advertising. A university or a partner agent sees a file only after it is assigned.
Data protection under the DPDP Act
Digital personal data from this website is processed under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (Act No. 22 of 2023). Global University Village is the Data Fiduciary. You are the Data Principal. This page is the notice required before you consent. It names the data, the purpose, how to use your rights, and how to complain.
Consent on a form is a clear yes. It is limited to replying to that enquiry, building the short list, keeping the counselling file, and running an account you opened. It is not consent for advertising, and it is not consent to sell the file. You can refuse the box. We then do not store that enquiry. You can withdraw consent later with the same ease, through the contact form with the word “privacy” in the note. Withdrawal does not undo a reply already sent. After withdrawal we stop using the details for new work, unless a law still requires the desk to keep a record of advice given.
We keep the data accurate, limit who on the desk can open a file, and erase it when the purpose is finished and no law requires it to be kept. A company that hosts the website may process the file only to keep the site running, not for its own use. The London office may read a file. We do not send personal data to a country the Central Government has restricted under the Act.
If a personal data breach is likely to affect you, we will tell you and inform the Data Protection Board of India, as the Act requires.
Your rights
- Access. A summary of the personal data we hold, why we hold it, and who else has received it.
- Correction and completion. Ask us to correct or update data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete data that is no longer needed for the purpose you consented to, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw consent. Stop new use of the data. The request uses the same contact form as the original enquiry.
- Nominate. Name another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to do so.
- Grievance. Complain to this desk first. If the answer is late or you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India through the route the Board publishes. The Board is a digital office. An appeal from a Board order lies to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal.
Students under 18
A person under 18 is a child under the Act. We do not open a counselling file for a child unless a parent or guardian gives consent and can be reached on the email or phone in the form. We do not track children for advertising, and we do not use a child’s data for a purpose the parent did not agree to.
How long, and how to ask
The file stays while the application is active and for as long as the desk must keep a record of advice given. The person who answers questions about this notice is the counselling desk at the Noida office. Write from the same email through the contact form, with the word “privacy” in the note. Say whether you want a copy, a correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent, or to nominate someone. We will answer within 30 days.
